How to use tarot to feel confident & secure when you quit your job
because we all know that it’s a WHEN, not an if.
If you’ve been wanting to quit your job (but are still putting it off even though you know you want to), these tarot questions are for you.
I’ve used these questions many times over the past decade and have narrowed them down to the ones that give clarity and confidence in this exact situation.
Here’s how to make it work for you:
the queen of coins / queen of pentacles in a bed of bright green ferns
PREP :
grab your favorite tarot deck. the one that’s easy for you to read, has plentiful symbolism, and is the least vague.
do your usual grounding/centering/connecting routine, whatever helps you clear your mind of any lingering worry about finances, general uncertainty, people-pleasing habits, etc.
II WANDS
we all have choices. the two of wands shows that we would benefit from gathering more information before making a decision. it also reminds us that we must walk the path to greet and embrace the opportunities that already exist for us.
I use some form of these questions every time and come out of the reading feeling reassured, confident, and clear on my next steps to take and how to get the results that I want.
MOST HELPFUL QUESTIONS :
What are the potentials if I choose to stay in my current job?
What are the potentials if I choose to leave my current job?
How do I quit this job in a way that is easy, natural, and respectful?
What are the challenges I may face as I choose to leave this current job?
How can I best work through these challenges to create the life that I desire?
Dear Spirit, what is it I need to know?
If I choose to work through challenges as suggested, what are the potentials surrounding my new life?
How can I feel better right now about the decisions I am making regarding my job and life?
What can I do right now to create the life that I desire?
These questions have worked for me over and over again.
Give them a try and let me know (in the comments below) what kind of insight you get!
QUESTIONS ON TIMING :
If you are trying to figure out timing, I usually do a quick “what are the potentials of” reading for now, then one for later.
It’s typically very obvious which choice I want to make based on that quick reading.
Above all, and most likely common sense but deserves pointing out: listen to your intuition. please. yours.
Ignore what your mom is saying in the back of your head.
There are times to listen to her voice. I’m sure she gives excellent advice. This is not one of those times.
IF IT’S FEELING FORCED :
Take a day or two to let things simmer down feelings/emotions-wise.
Do a check-in: were you still feeling upset/angry when you pulled the cards? Were you feeling desperate for a specific outcome?
If so, give it some time.
If you’re still having extremely strong feelings on the subject and feel like your hopes & fears may be influencing the results you’re getting from the cards, this is an appropriate time to find an outside source to do a reading for you.
Utilizing the tools your synchronicity and intuition have directed you to can be a fantastic way to learn things you didn’t expect, find clarity you may have overlooked, and redirect your energy.
ABOVE ALL, TRUST YOURSELF :
You are the one who will know when you’re ready.
You are the one who will know whether it’s fear of change holding you back, or a legitimate concern.
You are the one in control of this beautiful, crazy, sometimes messed-up but always miraculous life you’re living.
*degree story incoming. degree=real, level of breakdown required to get there = also real.
and ps — yes. I did quit my job recently (again). yes, I am in-between. and yes, I did this reading for myself before I quit.
